Last week, six colleagues were allowed to ride in a shunting locomotive in the Port of Hamburg in groups of two or three. In the “Hamburg Schietwetter” we were able to get an insight into the shunting activities. In addition, we were given an overview of the activities of the port dispatch, which gave us an even better understanding of the processes and the challenges as well as hurdles involved in shunting.
