Dettmer Rail expands its range of transport goods

In mid-October, Dettmer Rail expanded its range of transport goods to include coal. Since then, Dettmer Rail GmbH has scheduled two weekly train services between the German North Sea coast and Bavaria.

These are powered by Euro Dual (dual-power) locomotives, eliminating the need to change locomotives for railway sections without overhead lines and enabling a higher gross load to be carried. A total of 30 DB Cargo wagons will be used. The managing railway undertaking is eccorail GmbH.

In mid-October, Dettmer Rail expanded its range of transport goods to include coal.

Following conclusion of the test phase at the end of the year, the frequency of the service will be increased to three per week in 2023. This is the first step in expanding the range of transport goods beyond liquid dangerous goods.
